This year most of my long trips and days out on the bike have tended to remain within the bounds of Cheshire instead of moving out into ajoining counties of Derbyshire and Staffordshire as usual. I have been exploring around Chelford, Peover, Over Peover and Goostrey.
This picture above was taken within Alderley Park and shows clearing and fresh planting close to the enchanted entrance off Hocker Lane which is virtually an “unmade” bridal path that winds through some very charming scenery. Hocker Lane is my preferred route from Prestbury to Alderley Edge.
Peover Lake – actually located in Snelson and really only visible from a long private driveway which, incidentally, leads to the house that used to be owned by the Beckham’s.
