Introduction

Manchester & Cheshire, UK based creative photographer with an interest in fine art photography, documentary and archival work, often exploring local history themes in Cheshire and Derbyshire settings. I now mostly work in digital media though for many years I was (and still am) a keen advocate of chemistry based photography and darkroom processes. Sometimes I like to think that my photography reflects a certain fascination for the qualities of artistic geometric forms and the curious effects of over observation.

An intense introspective gaze, density of form, whimsy & bold composition are significant aspects of my style and artistic approach to photography which can occasionally move into a realm of surealism or even magical realism.

Photography

I have a broad range of interests and offer a very wide selection of services and content types. Please click on the images above if you would like to know a little more about my favourite subjects and current body of work which literally encompasses everything from abstract landscapes to actors head shots.

Film & Video

I am an experienced videographer and film / video editor with a diverse range of broadcast and indi credits and keen to maintain an involvement in film making, either as a crew member, or an on-location photographer. I have more than 20 years experience in many other aspects of AV tech including live events and sound studio work.
