The ever changing skyline
A re- processed (enhanced) photo of the new Manchester skyline as seen from the Cloud Bar in the Manchester Hilton hotel. The view is looking due south. The original image was very underexposed with very high contrast. I have re-processed it through Raw Therapee and used the applications remarkably good pseudo HDR tools to add luminosity and structure to the mid tones and shadow areas. The sky however, was very over exposed and blown in parts. I have attempted to even things out a bit with a film grain layer.
The photo was taken in the summer of 2022 and already this view has changed yet again. The buildings seen under construction are now at full height and even more are being added.
