Freight train passing Middlewood in Cheshire. This is a secluded location on the Buxton line and a place where I often stop for a rest when cycling along the Middlewood Way, itself a former railway. I am quite drawn to the soulfulness of railways and this spot always makes me feel a little bit of the Huckleberry hobo vibe – don’t know why that is.
